Sequel
All should have a zone to inhabit,
and a role in multiple, stacking dramas.
But we've internalized the horror of banishment
and invented Alienation, who now stalks us,
boot by boot with Extinction,
denying us the proliferation of being
which some billion iterations have deemed ideal.
Separate, our only home is a body built to betray,
the only narrative of which we dream is sequel.
