Put Me In Prison

Put me in prison
           Give me bars I can see
I have no key
           So slam the door quick;

Like some glassy-eyed guard
           Stare at me coldly
Gaze brazenly, boldly
           As I writhe and I wince;

In a concrete cell
           Leave me alone
But I'll never atone
           For your crimes or convictions.

           For your crimes or convictions
I'll never atone
           Though you leave me alone
In a concrete cell;

           As I writhe and I wince
Gaze brazenly, boldly
           Stare at me coldly
Like something brassy and hard;

           Slam the door quick
For I have no key
           Give me bars I can see
When your ire's arisen.
