Lucid Dreamer
I had a dream in which you and I were together.
We didn't speak, we just touched and our touching produced smiles;
I knew you there, and you were mine as completely as I was yours,
And even when I opened my eyes I knew it was more than a dream.
We didn't speak, we just touched and our touching produced smiles.
Remembering the smiles, I again feel your touch,
And even when I open my eyes I know it was more than a dream
And am baffled by the nightmare into which I have awoken.
Remembering the smiles, I again feel your touch
In that part of me where dreams are born
And am baffled by the nightmare into which I have awoken,
Where you play no role, don't appear, cannot touch me.
In that part of me where dreams are born
All is continual creation, and there is no concept of a life
Where you play no role, don't appear, cannot touch me—
Only visions of us together forever.
All is continual creation, and there is no concept of a life
For me, without you;
Only visions of us together forever
Make life more desirable than the dead sharing of dreams.
For me, without you,
There is simply no way to
Make life more desirable than the dead sharing of dreams and
Live a life of lucid joy, where sharing is so much more than smiles & touching.
There is simply no way to
Relinquish a dream, for dreams are what we are. I want to
Live a life of lucid joy, where sharing is so much more than smiles & touching.
I have a dream in which you and I are together.
