Improvisation
we billions born
abandoned
to convenient fantasies
a pathological aversion
to the realities
of consequence
the earth will
patiently
teach us regret
squatting in waste
we will wonder
at yesterday
by what authority
if not engagement
do we participate?
there is little creativity in fear
though much improvisation
