I Must Abide
dying is easier than crying
than letting it start
than getting it to stop.
if you had truly left me
then I could breathe
then I could dream
then I would let free the feeling fandango
but no you linger
here
and haunt me
here
hound this poor man-ghost
with the very smallest part of you
leave me
mitochondrion
breathing is crying
and dreaming is dying.
