Aegri Somnia
sleep grows in my head, slowly overpowering the focus of the inlets;
a dimming damning of consciousness to self-referential neuroprocess
from which scenes burst like madly burning moths from the candle's flame:
dreams.
memory-surfing, generator merges with observer yet lurks apart
bursting incandescent bubble worlds into the vacuous space-silence of
awareness. an idea is an ache, incorporated, swallowed, distorted.
waking is awareness' most abrupt experience; waking within a dream-
transitionless transport. the end of sleep is the resensitization to minutia.
into dreams are we born; into life, constructed.
