You Must Remember This

What you remember today
should be more than what you remembered yesterday,
as it adds today,
but it is less.
Eventually, living becomes synonymous with forgetting.
We remember that, to forget, and how.
Who forgets forgetting?
Consciousness is either the pen which writes experience
or the page on which it is written
or the ouroboros which erases it.
What do you remember?
Not all that you've forgotten, by definition.
The one who knew all that,
who would that be?
