Yet

Sometimes it would be mad not to go mad,
life being an Occurrence At Owl Creek Bridge situation:
a long instant before extinction.

The imperceptible is neither beautiful nor ugly.
Adjectives are reserved for what we perceive.

The wind carries the absence
of every lost thing.

Hope dropped.  Wish extinguished.

Worth a tenth what we thought we were,
a hundredth what we wanted to be,
we fear that the few good people
are just the ones life
hasn't gotten to
yet.
