Wolf, Bear, and Snake

Wolf would tear out your throat,
Bear would rip out your heart,
Snake would ruin your blood,
to save you from the illusion of pain.
But instead we kill Snake.
We kill Bear.
We kill Wolf,
and dance on sharp rocks
day and night
in the ever-thickening fog
until the world relents
and lets us drop.
