When I Die 3

When I die
I will change into something else,
and if it is less than what I am now,
still it is something.

To become no one is not to become nothing.

And what I become will change and become again,
and though I will not be part of that change,
that becoming, I was once a link in the chain,
giving me a presence far weaker than memory

but more certain, more compositional,
more indisputable.
