What It Turned Out To Be About
As far apart as absence and loss,
the self-interfering
Confabulator-General
aggrieving
the didactician’s thoughtfonts,
self-observing electrons,
after the fact
established by the before,
intact but inert—what point?
Into god we thrust,
lascivious tryst,
a generation focused
on toxicity and trauma,
the disincarnated
trebucheted
from one end of life to the other.
Come uninvited,
leave unreceived.
The long walk up the stairs,
the quick walk down,
just to say I saw the view.
