What I Have
To Show For It

I just want what I've seen,
what I've been shown.
I want to want what I can imagine,
but usually that seems greedy.
I want to need so little;
I need to want so much.
Look at what they have.
Look at what they do with it.
Why show it to me
if I can't have it?
Why take it away from me
while I was using it?
What we surrender
when offered meager compensations!
