Those Rare and Precious Moments
to surrender to the surrounded
the bodiless
the form in formlessness
relentlessly, unfashionably rational
distilling loneliness to apprehension
plausibility from confusion
if we only knew
what underlay our feet:
but we can,
we can know without knowing
those rare and precious moments
when the unknown is recognized as the essential
aging is a tripling down
on our shakiest wagers
