This Human Anthem

People are the worst mirrors, the best mirages

Memory is the doorstep of oblivion
hokum and hohum
the obscenity of obscurity
the ephemeral results of desperate battles
in which all who didn't die are now also dead

I watch through tunnels
I touch through layers
I will not tell you everything I know
unless you love me, until you love me,
and even then, and even then

Love is never strong enough,
which means nothing human is strong enough,
but wasn't this always obvious?
