The Unexamining

It may be that I, too, am irrational.
But less so by an order of magnitude than they are.
It's not that I don't speak their language,
I don't like their language.
I am entitled to like a thing and to dislike a thing.
(As, of course, are they.)
I am not required to like a thing or to dislike a thing.
(Nor, of course, are they.)
It may be that I am wrong.
But less so by an order of magnitude than they are.
Or I'm wrong about that too.
I would leave tomorrow,
I would leave today,
to get away.
