The Truth 2

Sometimes I think I'd be content
with assurances it all made sense,
but who would I trust to tell me so?
How can I know what I don't know?
Lie to yourself if you can bear it,
but hold your lie, you needn't share it
with me, I don't want to hear it:
I need the truth, will never fear it
or cast it aside for fantasies
embraced by fools and the diseased
of mind who daily act
to deny the power of the fact.
False are the visions of desire.

No single view captures the entire
scene drawn by the real.
It's better to look than to just to feel,
better to perceive than to believe.
