The Tame Name the Wild

“Forced to depend upon intelligence,” taunted by
Theoretical Optimum in moments of distraction or madness,
cognition without executive supervision, bourgeois boredom,
we don't create deity for omniscience, for omnipotence,
but for objectivity.

All else being equal,
we are best advised by current data.

The tragedy of magic—the axolotl, dysmorphia unabridged,
preemptive empathy, amorous excess, sympathetic graphomancy,
a successful synthesis of sin and decency, thwarted by hunger,
again, carnal deprivation, predation, haphazard gathering
or avid collecting—the elusive expression of the recursive.

Not all adulteration is toxic, not all originality is daft.
No one ever said freedom was convenient.
