The Sweetest Candy
Complicated by simplicity,
ancillary to the mastery of things,
mystery is just ignorance,
no more, no less.
Sacrifice begins small,
ends in species,
and still there is no acknowledgement,
no recompense, no remonstrance.
Fulfillment is the sweetest candy
transformed into a symbol of the faithless.
Humanity lurks in those
who profess no profession.
