The Shrine of the Indescribable
Can discourse survive the absence of consciousness?
Our lives make much more sense as narrative
threads than as autonomous individuals.
Can we believe that our differences are worth more
to society than our contributions to consensus?
Those who habitually act without intent

To develop a program that can think, we'll need a program
that can derive the principles of cognition.
To the degree that "order" is defined by the state of things
as they were when you found them. Somewhere between
sufficiency and abundance, short of excess.

Not "free," but apart from the social confirmation of the constraint.
When those demanding compliance lack legitimate authority
(if you oppose authority, you are acknowledging authority;
instead, challenge a particular claim to authority).
The misuses of technology and the abuses of poetry.
Is distraction the side-effect, the means, or the goal?
Words as sacrifices at the Shrine of the Indescribable.
But are truth and beauty really desirable,
or are the false and the ugly just so unbearable?
I will forgive so much if you make it interesting, I whisper.
