The Search 3

I am looking for what has never been found.
I am finding what has been sought, acquired,
lost, rediscovered, held, carried, discarded.
I am empty-handed and heavily-burdened.
I pick things up and I set them down.
I take things and I give them back.
I study history, legend, rumor, and treasure maps.
I look where everyone has looked
and I look for where no one has looked.
I look inward and question the quest.
I feel that the pull is the soul.
I have a reason to begin each day
and a direction to label "forward."
I seek the sanctuary of satisfaction.
