The Recitation of Grievances

Be savage.  Salvage
the communion in commotion, the inchoate incorporations,
the incongruous juxtapositions, indeterminate morphology,
unconventional inconveniences, the provenance of providence,
even accidents that arise from negligence.
Claim the bounty beyond the boundary.
Do we have a right to rewrite an unsatisfying narrative?
To use the rhetoric of apocalypse?  What better way
to express doubt than in the posture of certainty?
We assume, based on what we interpret as evidence.
My poem changes every time I write it down.
You must change every time you read it.
Regret everything or regret nothing.  Join in
the Recitation of Grievances.  Or don't.
