The Pendulum

Why have I never met a libertine?
Where are the sybarites I was warned about?

I have travelled widely, looking,
but still haven't found the epicureans, the hedonists.
Everyone now indulges in self-control, in self-constraint.

Someone — help me — I have leapt onto the pendulum —
lend me your weight — let's reverse it!
