The Moment 4

There's a moment when it ends,
though you may not notice it
for a very long time.  And then—
and then what comes
isn't yours.  Little is given
and less is had.
It gets bad—
then worse.
When you remember life before that moment,
you remember someone else.
You feel false.  You are.
You've more time than chance,
and blank pages in your book
after your story has finished.
