The Human Patch

A few improved algorithms
could reduce massive amounts
of waste, inefficiency, and redundancy
if only we could introduce them
to the code, if we could access
a node to upload our dreams
and schemes into the generic system
software running physical law,
evolution, and other basic universal
operations. It's not clear yet
how open source the system is,
but I say if we can hack it
we should hack it: information
wants to be altered, adapted,
made relevant. And if we can't?
Then we'll have to stick to
reprogramming ourselves, as
we've always done, and eventually
we'll withdraw to a prism of solipsism.
