The Gist 2

How can you see what you don't know
if not by saying what you know?

The details are seductive,
but the gist is often enough.

The challenge is to continue believing
that the world is worth loving.

The inconsistent insistence
replays in slow emotion.

If only the heart believed only true things.
But the world is not constrained to the plausible.

We imagine people so different than they are.
The ellipse eclipses the line.

I can't find the frame of reference
to see what frame of reference I need to use.
