The Flaw
I saw the flaw
one erodes like a riverbank
but is not always resilted so
gratitude is an attitude
the urge is rage
she betrayed you
he failed you
the satisfaction of anger
doesn't resolve
focus lingers into obsession
how do you let someone know
there is an insufficiency?
power is a zero-sum game
limited by opportunities for control
how many variables are required
to establish uniqueness?
repulse the compulsion
to differentiate on trivia
to privilege the already-known
with a credibility head-start
heresy isn't always truth
but neither is doctrine
the price of dialogue is engagement
participation trades authority for influence
speculation without confirmation
is what leads to madness
facts, no matter how unexpected,
can be assimilated
expectations, no matter how true,
are flawed
