The Expectations
Yet another assessment of the impasse,
nostalgic for a time when society functioned.
I am here to diagnose the wound, not apply the balm.
(Not by preference, but because that is what I know how to do.)
It is life that produces the expectations
that allow one to be (ensure that one is?)
disappointed by life.
The false equivalence of equilibrium with harmony.
To interrogate irregularity in the unconsummated world.
Perturbation within the perfection of totality.
I can live with uncertainty.
I cannot live with false certainty.
When less is not an option,
one must make the best of more.
