The Diamond

I loved a diamond with a flaw.

I couldn't count the facets
on its face.

It seemed so clear but no.
Hard.  It was hard.

One day,
the rock was gone.

It was all flaw,
I saw.

And what I wonder
but will never know:

where, where did that dear diamond go?
