The Already-Known
Any combination
of two or more words
is always a creative act.
Poetry is the phasing phrase.
Poem as message mechanism.
That part of creation that iterates as procedure.
As the word rapes the syllable,
as the sentence casually buggers
the unwilling word.
The emoji as the inevitable endpoint of imagism.
But profit has loss built into it.
I want to know most
what I can't conceive
in terms of the already known.
