So It Seems

It's risky to trust what seems.
Most of what is doesn't seem.

The monkey wants what the monkey wants.

When no dies, no is reborn
in all that yes can't conceive.

What if the goal were to be as ineffectual as our dreams?

If it didn't flee,
what would I pursue?

What responsibility do we have to opportunity?

I reserve my industry
for the worthwhile, not the necessary.

There is what is, and then there's what we see.

When you can love it without wanting it—
then maybe.
