Small Things
Whence came the myth that the most personal must be secret?
No! The personal is universal.
What are the most interesting things ever buried and then forgotten?
Where are they and when can I dig them out?
What could be better than a catalog of everything I've never known
and coin to spend?
Memory is a cartographer's record of scars
etched by empty prophecy.
Must realism seem synonymous with disappointment?
History suggests yes.
Be satisfied by small things
but don't be satisfied by being satisfied by small things.
