Rules For Living

In an overly-trafficked world
even leading is following.

Who can afford to be
more than occasionally clever?

We cannot make enough rules for living,
so we invented play and its infinity of forms.

Is our role to color
the universe with the personal?

A.  Trying to understand the world
B.  Trying to perform in the world

you are far more likely to find
consistency than constancy.

Learn to jettison,
how and when.

I am an investigation,
not a personality.

Sometimes a celebration,
but not nearly often enough.

Everything I haven't pursued
pursues me.
