Recidivism

Worshipping within mirrorhenge,
pining for our treasures and precious things,
circumvolving the various brass and glass,
we noctambulists churn the formless foam
of breeze on bronze, confronting
the matter-eaters with the courage of courtesy
in the adjunct tumuli of our aqueous desire.
Follow abundance.  Withdraw from scarcity.
Charles Fourier or Charles Fort?  And still reading
bedtime stories from Die Traumdeutung.
The past is the deepest thing we know,
the future, terror-inducingly shallow.
How many ways to recognize emptiness.
How many ways to fail to fill it.
