Pu o Hiro

Prophecies are prophylactic,
yet offer no protection against
another trouble irruption,
no recusal from recursive reconciliation,
from compression of comprehension
due to cognitive bandwidth constraints.
With scrutiny, unempirical and aspirational,
fashioned from fixation, from orientation,
from the undeniable demands of whimsy,
we strive for surplus and find ourselves
surrounded with superfluous.
Why, now, the only song an inopportune?
You put a lot of faith in faith.
Take it out.
