Prison
True perversion consists of compelling
others to do what they don't choose.
Don't settle for a partner
worse than the solitude
that lets you see you.
The simplest and most effective prison
convinces the inmates they are unconvicted
and unconstrained
where the innocent and the ignorant
chafe less at containment, at restraint,
offense being required for complaint.
Have you noticed (other people's)
madness is often privileged,
conflating organization with complication?
We are makers of dust,
yet dust's not what matters
to us.
Don't show me your orders
that purport to pertain.
Refuse to be trained,
do without the treat.
Don't belong to obligation.
Or make song of obfuscation.
Death is a failure
to transcend the constraints.
