Oracles

I like to think
of the invisible oracle
on every world
singing irrelevant truth
to uninhabited spaces,
briefly breaking
the silence of the universe.
There is a choice
between darkness and noise,
but not for us.
What is with us is not of us.
I like to think of
the lonely oracle
but not of the mute.
