Lotophagi
i.
spare me those who cannot fathom
a universe of perverse diversity
coalition of the profligate
in virtual fugue
who underrate the inappropriate
appropriate the overrated
ii.
synchronize your pulses
opportunities for autonomy
call and response
in finicky mimicry
appreciate the proximate
with hospital frisson
iii.
said the constant to the instant:
speed cannot conquer brevity
smudge my outer particles
irascible pendant
the spin and the bounce and the bob
and all the other stationary movements
iv.
what is the universe
that it need not consume?
