Lightning

The only way to find success is to be struck by lightning.
You can't find what isn't lost, isn't hidden,
what isn't until it suddenly is.  And then isn't again.
Lightning hurts, and it leaves a mark.
The mark of lightning, and all the other marks that mark,
are haphazard and difficult to read, to interpret.
You may as well mind your own business, and go about it,
and do or not do what occurs to you to do or not do,
because though you feel a need to succeed
failure lures from and to every coordinate.
Don't wait, pursue it.  Thunder chastises a million times
more often than lightning baptizes.  Every cell is a no,
its nucleus the yes.  Look and look and look,
and when you can't see and don't find, shrug.  Laugh.
