Interrogation 2

I want to interrogate someone.
I want to confine them in a small space
where they can't get away, lack agency,
and then force them to answer
all my questions, to answer truthfully
and to the best of their ability.
It won't mean a thing.
They'll be wrong about all of it.
It doesn't matter who they are
or what I ask them.
But I want to detain them, attune them,
and watch them sweat under a bare
incandescent bulb—hot—while they convert
breath into appeasement.
