Insuperable
Look, this is what grew here.
As the imprinting impinges upon the assimilation
(the assimilating and the being assimilated),
the calibration of collaboration, erotic
epistemics in-sourcing the trifling,
autonominal, a conversion to reversion.
Mutual scrutiny of victimless thoughtcrimes,
of the perpetration of privation.
Maybe this isn't just a fear thing
but a something-else-too thing.
I am still trying to understand
that I don't understand.
That the set of the inoffensive
is not entirely contiguous
with the set of the unoffending.
How can I write lines that
"feel like AI, autism, bureaucracy,
Buddhism, and existentialism all at once"?
They are isomorphic. Aesthetic anesthetic.
Sostenuto wastrel. Ultracrepidarian.
The snollygoster, the slubberdegullion.
Subject to the reconciliators.
What boundaries keep out.
What they keep in.
Insuperable obstacles of truant phenomenology.
The self is refracted through the measure of time.
To wait to be told the right thing
is the wrong thing.
A persistent glitch in the etiquette of empire.
They tell you the past is pastel,
like a self-fulfilling prophecy.
To emerge from the age of your birth.
To familiarize oneself with the implications.
Other disreputable imputations.
It's that, and it's more than that.
