Idée Fixe

Better a compelling nonsense, says humanity,
than a tedious or opaque reality.
An infinite stream of enhancing experience.

Split between the two great traditions of Describing and Naming,
malchemists reconstitute malevolence from the relatively inert
elements of a long-cooled planet.

Taken out of context, I don't known what I might be.
But I also don't know my context.
I live my life as though someone cared about it.  How else?

Always tempted to make better use of the vacancies.
As though everything ours went when we went.
There is so much to renounce that I doubt there will be time.

You can also obsess over the view
from the window next to the window.
