I Am The Argument

How do we separate the mysterious from the merely unknown?
Our world is made of chance and focus.  Is the intangible intelligible?
The failure is not in the confusion of the arrangement
but in the mistaken boundaries of our categories.
Those who see ugliness are killed by ugliness.
Those who see beauty are killed by beauty.
Destiny only exists in hindsight:  it is an illusion of position.
So we embrace semantically-problematic preying mantras.

Who decided our authorities should be Procrustes?
Measuring...measuring...
But reason is more than reasons.
And redemption is born not of forgiveness, but of regret.
I am the argument
between my shadow and my reflection.
