Good Enough 2

We may now return to poetry,
long glass barracks of monkeys,
tourists and other transcendentalists,
renegotiating our contract with conflict.
Look!  A control freak
who's a double agent for mayhem!
Dream teases cognition without self.
In parsing the data of perception
we fool ourselves
that good enough is good enough.
As we build our mirror with words
we move further and further from the what-is
to obsess toward madness over the what-we-can-say
with an incantation of backwards words.
