FAQ

Why do I try to answer my own questions?
I try to answer my own questions because
everyone else is fixated on their own questions
and their answers don't satisfy.

Perhaps I should have aspired to die full of tales
of excess and deficiency, of conjunctions
of confrontation and consent,
with no time to tell them.

Life's verses are written
with words I recognize
but don't understand.

I long to understand
the organizing principle(s)—
they are hard to deduce
from resultant structure.

Insights are thrilling
but can never be comprehensive.

I resent the imperceptible,
but really, what do I need it for?

The world of constraints laughs at—
and depends upon—
feeble liberty.
