Even Sleep
What does it say about me
that I sleep better
to brown noise than to white,
or pink?
(Imagine I had found a way
to phrase that that didn’t sound racial.)
What does it say about me
that I want to know what even noise,
even sleep, says about me?
The best thing about existence
is it gives you so many things
to think.
The best thing about sleep
is how thought runs in a lower gear.
