Evasion

I lose interest in the evasive.
I also obsess over the evasive.
I respond to intent differently
than accident.
Lately I evade myself
in ways I used to avoid.
Sometimes less is more,
and sometimes more is less,
and it's hard to see in advance
either case.
If I have always tried to be one thing,
and have failed as often as not,
who decided which thing to try to be,
and who decided to fail or succeed?
