Epistemic Sovereignty
To participate in the surreal logic of the poem,
conducting sexual experiments
upon willing subjects,
the non-sensational sensual.
Is it better to choose to do it
than to be forced to do it?
Is that a better choice
to be forced to make?
The makeshift fit
to exceed the speed of life,
to eyewaken from intermission—
writhe—we're alive!
Better pity than piety.
The rest is violence.
