Diary Entry

I no longer want anyone to read my poems.
They had their chance.
I did the work, no one else stepped up.
I was redundant.  The work was superfluous.
Too many damned people in the world.
So much gets lost.  Or, rather, not found.
Apathy is a better suppressant than malice.
Don't read my poems.
It's too late.
Too many doomed people in the world.
If only they knew.  If only they cared.
If only they cared to know or knew to care.
It's too late.
I am talking to no one.
