Birthday Poem

There is no place for you in the world.
You will long for one
and you will seek one
and you will follow many
spurious rumors and trails,
false hopes and misdirections,
before you accept that none exists.
If you are honest, you will accept it.
If you are not, you will be lost.
But it's a funny thing, you know:
having no place is not such a bad thing
as it seems.  There are worse things.
You will discover them too.
Well, you will discover some of them.
