Beauty of the Beast

When we learn to see beauty in the ugly
we become complacent about
encouraging the one, discouraging the other.
Is this good?  Is this bad?
Is it beautiful?  Is it ugly?
Do we have a responsibility
(do we have the ability)
to judge everything, and if so,
by what criteria, and if not,
how can we explain, how can we justify,
our brains?

Everything is ugly, everything is beautiful.
Nothing is ugly, nothing is beautiful.
We exist in a state of choice, perpetually asserting.
